What this tool does
Shrink PDF file size by rasterizing each page to JPEG and rebuilding the PDF. Works best on scanned documents and image-heavy PDFs.
Supported formats
Input: PDF. Output: smaller PDF. Controls: JPEG quality and max DPI (resolution).
How to use
Upload the PDF, lower quality or DPI for stronger compression, click Convert, and download the new PDF.
Limitations & tips
Text-native PDFs may become larger or blurrier because pages are turned into images — use only when the PDF is already scan-based. Fine text and vector graphics lose sharpness. Not a substitute for professional prepress tools. Processing large page counts can be slow.
