What this tool does
Reduce image file size by resizing and re-compressing. Helpful before emailing photos or uploading to forms with size limits.
Supported formats
Input: JPEG, PNG, WebP. Output: JPEG or WebP for opaque images; transparent PNG stays PNG. Adjust quality and max width sliders.
How to use
Upload an image, set quality (lower = smaller file) and max width, click Convert, and compare the downloaded size with the original.
Limitations & tips
Aggressive compression introduces visible blur or block artifacts. PNG with transparency is not converted to JPEG to avoid losing alpha. Does not batch-compress multiple files in one click — process one image at a time.
